Description
Spend a relaxing day sailing the Aegean sea, on a traditional wooden gullet. The boat has a certain amount of sun beds for you to soak up the sun and a bar should you require a drink during the day.
We sail in the morning, heading for the island of “Pserimos” a small island of fishermen with a golden sandy beach. Next stop is “Kalymnos”, for lunch in a local restaurant, a chance to visit the Capitol of the island and be introduced to the “Sponge” industry by visiting the small sponge shops, by only with a small stroll. Last stop is “Plati” where you will have the opportunity to swim or snorkel from the boat.

The guided tour of the city of Kos and its monuments starts with the visit to Asclepeion, the ancient temple dedicated to the God of health, Asclepius.
The Asclepeion of Kos was the best and the most important “Asclepeion” of Ancient times. Situated 4km from the city centre on a hill surrounded by a forest with cypress trees, it is divided into three levels, each totally different from the other, with a magnificent view of the gulf of Kerameikos and the Middle East coasts.
After Asklipeion we visit the town center.
Walking through the small streets of the old town, we reach Freedom’s square, the central square of the city, which is surrounded by Italian-constructed buildings, such as the Museum (the Italian Palace of 1936), the Agora (the Market) and the Library. As we pass through the “Toll Gate” entrance, the central gate of the ancient city Wall, we are lead through the ancient “agora” to the square of Hippocrates’ Plane Tree, the oldest tree in Europe. The bridge, which crosses the Palm Trees Avenue, joins the square with the Medieval Castle of Neratzia, which was built by the Knights of St. John in 1478, and which dominates the port. Platanos Square is rich in monuments of all the Island’s periods of occupation. The mosque of Loggia, built in 1786, is the monument of the Turkish occupation.
Here, under the shadow of the Hippocrates Plane Tree, the journey into the history of Kos comes to a close.

Description
Discover another side of Kos!
Enjoy the breathtaking view from the traditional village of Zia and taste the exceptional local wines and olive oil.
Our first stop is the Vineyard. Built on some of Kos’ most fertile land, this family proudly carries on the island’s winemaking tradition and has some of the finest local and international varieties of red & green grapes. Take a taste test!
Next, through a wooden road, we will drive up to the mountains to the village of “Zia”. There you will have free time to enjoy the breathtaking view and enjoy strolling around the narrow alleys with shops offering local products and handcrafted goods.
Last stop is an olive oil factory where we will get a tour of the facilities and learn every step of the olive oil production. You will also have the chance to taste local olive oil and shop.

Payment Terms
Full pre-payment required upon reservation of the service.
Cancellation Policy
The following cancellation policy will apply for tour bookings.
For cancellations received in writing to congressdpt@afeacongress.gr:
- Before August 10th, 2024: Full refund, excluding an administration fee of € 15
- From August 11th , 2024 onwards or in case of non-attendance: 100% cancellation fees apply
All cancellations will be processed one month after the end of the congress.
A minimum no of 15 pax is required, in order for the tours to be realized.
