Paper Preparation Instructions

Contributed papers must conform to the specifications given in the Interspeech 2024 Paper Kit, which can be downloaded from this page or obtained from the Template Gallery on overleaf.com. In order to prepare for submission, authors should read the instructions in the Paper Kit before starting to write.

Do not start from a past paper or an old template from a previous Interspeech: some important things have changed. Start from a fresh copy of the Interspeech 2024 Paper Kit and read the instructions carefully.

Main changes with respect to last year’s instructions

Below is a list of the main changes with respect to the author’s instructions from last year. For more details and other minor changes, please refer to the full document.

  • The period of anonymity during which a version of the submitted paper may not be posted or updated online now starts a month before the Interspeech submission deadline and runs until accept/reject decisions are announced. For more information on the updated pre-print policy, see the submission policy page.
  • The author check list has been updated. Among other things, a guideline to include some measure of statistical significance or confidence intervals for papers that include empirical results was added to the list. A python toolkit is provided by the organizers for computing confidence intervals using the bootstrapping technique. This toolkit is just meant as an example and other tools may be used for this purpose.
  • The acknowledgment section may now be placed in the fifth page, along with the references, and should only be added in the camera ready version of the paper to prevent compromising the double blind reviewing process.
