Kindly note that during September the island is welcoming daily many visitors, thus long queues are expected at the taxi station operating at Kos International airport “Hippocrates”.
It is recommended to book in advance the shuttle service specially organized for Interspeech 2024 delegates.
Pre-booked transportation and airport assistance: In addition to the public transportation, Bus Shuttles on a Shared Basis and Private Airport Transfers are also available on a pre-arranged basis.

Please note that the airport is approximately 40 km from the hotels and the estimated route time is from 40 to 100 minutes, depending on the traffic at the island.

Public Transportation
Local Public buses at Kos
Bus services at the airport: Transit bus service is provided between the Airport and the city of Kos, Mastichari, Kardamena and Kefalos. There is a public bus stop 50m from the terminal building.
Through this website delegates can be advised on the daily schedule of local buses operating from airport to the city center & other areas in KOS.

This is an application, which includes information regarding local bus transfers from KOS city to specific villages/areas in the island – including also Kipriotis Village Hotel.
Kindly note, outside Kipriotis Village Hotel/KICC there is a bus station. Delegates can purchase a ticket upon entering the bus.
From the city of KOS delegates can take bus No 1 towards Agios Fokas or Bus No 5 towards Therma in order to reach Kipriotis Village / KICC and vice versa.
Taxi
Taxi service is available at the Airport. TAXI stand is located in front of the Arrivals Hall.
